JobKeeper Payment Extended

Are you in business and unsure about applying for the JobKeeper payment? There have been some important changes in the last 24hrs that might help your circumstances. Let's quickly run through the changes.

The commissioner has extended the time for employers to pay their employees, and still be able to claim back the initial JobKeeper payments.

For the first two fortnights (30 March – 12 April, 13 April – 26 April), the government will now reimburse the $1500 payment if it is made to each of your eligible employees by the 8 May 2020. You won’t be able to claim the JobKeeper payment for the April fortnights if you don’t pay your employees before this date.

Employers have until 31 May 2020 to enrol for the JobKeeper payments for the first 2 fortnights, however, the sooner you enrol and pay your staff, the sooner the ATO will reimburse you.

If you are thinking about applying for the JobKeeper payments, we can help with everything from writing letters to staff, right through to submitting your application.
